December 1st 2013: The big trailer is partly in the way of the work area for the new Sangha Rest Shed. But, it will not be moved this winter. It has to wait until I come back in the Spring.
December 1st 2013: I used a small hand pickaxe to begin digging out for the foundation of the new Sangha Rest Shed. It will take a lot of such work to get it done.

December 1st 2013: The rock and soil removed for the foundation of the new Sangha Rest Shed was used as fill for the tent pad I was building on the western edge of the old house pad.
December 6th & 7th 2013: We had some rains on the 4th and 5th and then the temperature turned very cold. On the night of the 6th we had a great snowstorm. I had to go out for some food in Yreka. I was barely allowed to return home. The CHP were requiring chains and I had none for the new car. So they reasoned the new SUV tires would be "OK" and let me go. By morning we had 8 inches on the ground and 1 to 2 feet in drifts between buildings. This was the biggest snowfall so far since we moved here. GREAT! But, it only lasted for a few hours before melting.....
