The Windows, Door, Trim and Interior

December 5th 2014: The East End with the window and door installed.

December 5th 2014: The west end window is installed.

December 5th 2014: The west end window and the south side windows are installed.

2015 Construction Season - Insulation & Cabinets

April 23rd 2015: The insulation was put in the walls. The cabinets were set in their approximate position.

June 4th thru 8th 2015: The wallboard was installed and painted. The linoleum was then put down and allowed to adjust to the location. The cabinets were assembled into a unit from end-to-end and were set in their final position.

June 4th thru 8th 2015: The countertop was cut and fixed into place.

June 4th thru 8th 2015: The sink hole was cut and the sink was installed.

June 4th thru 8th 2015: The sink faucet and plumbing was installed. This is a dry sink. We will use it for cleaning the garlic and other herbs when we harvest them. The cleaning is essential before we hang them on the racks in the attic for drying.

2015 Construction Season - Window Trim & Curtains

June 11th 2015: I was just finishing the drain system for the sink in case any water should be used in the 'dry' sink for cleaning purposes. I then started the framing of trim around the windows.

June 11th 2015: The interior framing of the sink window in the west wall was cut and installed.

June 12th 2015: The interior trim and sill was cut and installed on the double window in the south wall and the east window.

June 29th 2015: The finish trim was completed around the windows. We went shopping and Liza chose a fabric with colors that echoed the wall colors and offered a bright interior. Liza then spent a week making the curtains with her portable sewing machine.

June 29th 2015: The curtains are done and hung on the south and west windows.

June 29th 2015: The southern and eastern window curtains were hung.
